These adorable chic jewelry box ornaments are the perfect project to get you into that holiday spirit. After watching “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” for the upteenth time last year, I was inspired to use some paper mache blocks and recycled chipboard (i.e. cereal box) paired with some jewelry findings and beads to make these. Later on, a family member asked me to make them for her wedding favors. If you aren’t much into Tiffany Blue, you can use any color that matches your holiday decor. 2. Basecoat box Bahama Blue. Glue pearl trim to sides of the box, under the lid as shown.
3. Cut two 12″ lengths from ribbon. Wrap around the box as shown, placing glue at bottom and sides to secure. Tie remaining ribbon into bow and glue to top of the box.
4. Apply rub-on transfer or stickers to the side of the box, over the ribbon.
5. Glue crystal to raised tag finding. Use wire nipper to cut 5″ length from the chain. Use chain-nose pliers to open jump rings. Attach one jump ring to hole in finding. Attach remaining end to chain center. Close jump ring to secure. Use the remaining jump ring to attach ends of the chain to the box by inserting chain to ribbons on top of the box. Close jump rings to secure. For hanger, use wire nippers to cut 6″ length from wire. Insert one wire end under ribbon and twist ends together.
