Egg Crate Craft
Use an egg crate for a fun craft any time of the year. Make fun crazy eye goggles to wear as a part of a costume or for fun in general. This is definitely fun for kids of all ages. The supplies needed are minimal and you can really use anything you have on hand. Follow along with the pictures to create yours. They are very easy and very fun. I promise!
Supplies for egg crate goggles:
- scissors
- paint and paint brush or markers
- egg crate (paper works best)
- hole punch
- pipe cleaners (Chenille stem)
- covered work surface
Instructions for egg crate goggles:
- Cut out two sections of paper crate to create goggles. You can make 6 pair per carton. If there are small children the adult should cut the individual partitions to separate.
2. Use hole punch to place holes in side of the container.
3. Poke the pencil through center to create opening to see through. You can make it as big or as small as you want. Trim off any excess paper particles.
4. On a covered work surface paint egg crate sections. Allow the paint to dry between colors. If you don’t have paint you can use markers. You can even use markers on top of the paint. I don’t recommend using glitter near the eyes.
Place a pipe cleaner ( also known as a Chenille stem at a craft store) in each hole and secure by wrapping pipe cleaner around itself. Adjust ends to fit each person. There you have it. Crazy eyes goggles made from egg crates. A fun any time craft, rainy day craft or Halloween craft or anytime you want to be silly craft.
