On this first full day of spring, Jen Goode and I are issuing a challenge! Join 365 Days of Crafts as we bring you projects all about eggs! All week, our designers will be posting “eggcellent” egg crafts (and probably some more bad egg puns!) to provide inspiration for spring, and we’d like you to join in. We’ll be giving away a prize pack worth $30 to one lucky entrant on 4/4/11! Entries will be accepted until noon EST.
Here’s how you can enter:
- Comment on this post, or one of our designers’ other egg craft posts this week (one entry per person).
- Link your own original egg craft in your comment for an additional entry (1 per person).
- Link this challenge on Facebook or Twitter for an additional entry (1 per person).
*winner will be chosen by random drawing on 4/4/11, US addresses only*

I’m starting off the egg craft challenge today with these Spring Magnet Egg Clips. Since I can’t find much color outside my house with all the rain the midwest has been getting, I decided to break out the projects to add color to the inside.
These egg magnets are made using polymer clay, and have tiny clips on the back to hold artwork, lists, or photos in place.
Supplies needed:
Polymer clay in desired colors-I used Sculpey III from Polyform Products
small clothespins
strong magnets
brads and ric-rac
liquid adhesive-I used Fabri-Tac from Beacon Adhesives
small pieces of foam core (if necessary)
For complete directions for this project, please see Spring Egg Magnet Clip Instructions.
These spring egg magnet clips are a great way to use up leftover scraps from other projects, since you can really decorate them however you like. Plus, they’re an “eggcellent” 😉 way to add some fresh spring color!
We look forward to seeing your Spring Egg Crafts! Good luck!

Your egg magnets are eggcellent! At first, they looked like the beautiful egg cookies you see on the cover of a cooking magazine. They not only look good enough to eat, I like the functionality of them. Who doesn’t love magnets?
