Fall button napkin rings made from burlap and empty paper towel roll are cheap, easy and look great. You can create the napkin rings with buttons that match the season or your tablescape. They are so inexpensive to make that you can make them for each month of the year. Not that I would because we don’t entertain every month. They are so easy the kids can help too and as a bonus you are using something you would toss in the recycling bin.
Materials to create fall button napkin rings:
- Empty Paper Towel Rolls
- Marker
- Burlap
- Twine
- Hot Glue Gun
- Misc.: buttons, scissors, craft knife, ruler,
Directions for fall button napkin rings:
- Cut the burlap into 3×6 inch strips.
- Mark your paper towel rolls every two inches.
- Cut the roll and trim the edges of the roll so they are level.
- Draw a line of hot glue on the tube.
- Wrap the tube with burlap.
- Apply hot glue to the inside of the tube and tuck in the edges.
- Hold in place for a few seconds allowing the glue to dry.
- Use the jute to make big loops and adhere to the center of the napkin ring. Repeat this step for every napkin ring
- Place a dollop of hot glue in the center of the flower. Place the largest button and hold while glue dries. Stack additional buttons and hot glue on top until you have a fun and eco chic fall napkin ring completed.
I hope you love your eco chic napkin rings as much as I do!
I think this is a pretty and easy craft to make and inexpensive since you are using paper towel rolls as your base. I loved my eco chic fall napkin rings so much that I made a few extra pieces to decorate other items.
