Bring a little of the outdoors in with a farmhouse chic twig center piece. The rustic home decor is very inexpensive and very easy to make. The chic twig centerpiece can be made in any size, depending on your base. I think the roses also lend the centerpiece to a romantic vintage feel and it is always nice to bring a bit of nature inside.

- Sand any rough edges on the wood crate. If you cannot find a wood crate you can make your own with wood shims or rulers.
- Paint wood crate brown and allow to dry. Sand between coats if needed. Repeat as may times as needed to get the desired look.
- Clean paint brush and paint work surface.
- use a ruler to measure the height of the crate. Trim twigs to ¼ to ½ inch above the top of crate using utility scissors or pruning sheers. Sand the edges of the twigs if they are too rough.
- Adhere twigs along the exterior of the crate using hot glue. The finger tip covers really come in handy here. Yes, I am speaking from personal experience.
- Clean wash and dry the tin cans. Paint tin cans cream and allow to dry.
- Cut a piece of muslin long enough to wrap around the crate with 6 inches extra for knot.
- Place foam balls in tin cans. If you don’t want to use foam balls you can use parts of an egg container to fill the can. Cover balls with shredded paper. Press fake succulents in until they are just above the rim.
- Place cans inside crate.
- To make rosettes tear 2”-wide strips from muslin. Remove any excess strings from edges.
- Twist tightly and begin to roll into spiral shape. Use small amount of hot glue to secure edges every 2”-3”.
- Use hot glue to adhere rosettes to crate as shown. Let dry.
