Flamingo party stuff you can make on a budget. One of my favorite tips to anyone throwing a party is to take one image or a set of images and use them over and over. If you take a look at the Beach Themed Candy Bar Decorations post you can see how I used fabric strips and starfish to create a warm beachy feel. The trick to that party was muslin strips and starfish on clear glass containers. I buy the basics for entertaining and embellish them with the party theme. When it’s all decorated and the presentation is finished, it makes me fee like a rock star and the guest feel special too. You can do that with your flamingo party stuff too.
As I was planning the party, my friend Jen let me know she had just finished a flamingo printable. Her FREE fun flamingo printable was perfect for my needs and I followed her lead on how to use the small pieces of the printable. She has a tutorial on how to use the paper punch. The printable will be used throughout the party in various ways and I am really excited to share my creative process with you and show you how a few simple printables can make the party look much more lavish and expensive than it really is.
These were the Flamingo Party Invitations and Favors. The favors with the Sixlets were for the parents because I decided to make “flamingo food” as the party favors for the kids. Click the link for the instructions.

“Flamingo Food” snack mix
We called the party favors “Flamingo Food” I priced out 12 bags of gourmet popcorn at the place in the mall that sells it and it was $9 for a bag of similar size. That would have been $108 for party favors and umm, I think not! This momma is way way too cheap!!! Follow this recipe for incredible gourmet popcorn party mix in the party favor bag. I spent $16 purchasing the ingredients for the party snack mix plus the bags. That is a hefty savings for doing it myself.
Flamingo party food ideas
The other food we had at the party was a tray of macarons. My daughter saw them in a movie and fell in love with them. I also had a friend make them for me and she was kind enough to share her recipe. My daughter was more than happy to have them as her present and it saved money on the party. I really love it when homemade and swapping works so well. And as a pink food they go great with the other flamingo party stuff.
We held the party at the swim club and we get 10 free friend passes and 2 of her friends belong to the club so we were able to hold the birthday party at one of the shelters for free. I had pizza delivered and a fruit and veggie tray so the kids did not pig out on junk food completely.
For drinks we made Pink Flamingo Punch.
I also made an adult version of the party punch and the recipe will be posted soon.
Besides swimming we also played one game. Ring around the flamingo and the poor bird took a beating because I used weighted pool rings.
I hope you try out some my flamingo party stuff.
