Today I have a fun set of earrings to share with you. And a tutorial to boot! These earrings couldn’t be any easier but they are show stoppers. Every time I wear a pair of these earrings I am sure to get comments and I just laugh at how simple they are to make. (If you don’t make jewelry but would like a pair…keep your eyes peeled for another big reveal coming next week! 🙂 )
So here’s the finished project:
And how to make them:
Supplies Needed:
Six Headpins (Here I have Antiqued Brass)
Six Beads of Your Choice (Here I have Bronze Pearls)
Pair of Matching Earwires
Tools Needed:
Round Nosed Pliers
Chain Nosed Pliers
Flush Cutters / Wire Nippers
Step One: Thead pearls onto bottom of headpins.
Step Two: Use wire snippers to trim about 1/2 inch from top of one pair of headpins.
Step Three: Use chain nosed pliers to bend headpin approximately 3/8 inch from top.
Step Four: Use round nosed pliers to turn loop at top of headpins.
Step Five: Thread second pair of headpins through loops. Repeat steps two – four.
Step Six: Repeat step five for final pair of headpins.
Step Seven: Use chain nosed pliest to twist bottom of ear wire loop to open; place top of earring loop in open ear wire loop.
Step Eight: Use chain nosed pliers to twist loop on bottom of ear wire closed.
And here’s your final project! Enjoy!
