Party Favor and Thank You cards are an important part of being a good hostess. Thanking your guests with with elegant Thank You card will let them know how much you truly appreciate their attendance. No, I don’t do this for casual occasions but defiantly when we host a fancy party. We try to do something fun and fancy a couple of times a year.
Supplies used for Party Favor:
- Cardstock in brown and green
- double sided adhesive
- Clear box with candy
- Design Adhesives by Clorox
- Brown embossing powder by Colorbox
- Marvy Uchida Punches
- Paper trimmer
- Scissors
- Heat gun
- Smooch Ink by Colorbox
- Ribbon
- Button
This brown and green color scheme keeps it simple. The swirls are created on the card stock with Design Adhesives by Colorbox and brown embossing powder by Colorbox too. You might know Colorbox by their popular ink line called Chalk Ink or by Clearsnap color line of ink. I used Marvy Uchida Punches to create the flowers. The edges are colored with Smooch Ink and the center button is from Buttons Galore and More.
Instructions for Party Favor:
- Cut the cardstock to desired sizes. Apply the design adhesive to the green paper following the packaging directions.
- Remove the protective film and sprinkle on the embossing powder. Tap to remove the excess powder.
- Use a heat setting tool to turn the powder to solid. Take caution with your fingers and do not over set. It will cause the design to melt.
- Adhere the green paper to the brown paper. You now have a thank you card. Since you are using brown paper for the base of the card you might want to add green or white on the inside so that you can write your note.
- To make the paper flower you will need to punch out the flowers. Using scissors cut small slits into the scallops to create petals.
- Use adhesive to glue the flowers together. Run a ribbon through the button and glue it to the center.
- Add ribbon to both pieces.
