Ruffled T-shirt dress
Let me start this post out with the disclaimer that- I AM NOT a seamstress. I took sewing in 8th grade. I think I might have scored a C . The cupcake pillow I made was nothing to write home about. I do however like to sew. I don’t know how to work with patterns so I kind of create as I go.
T-shirt and swatches
I found the materials used to make this in the clearance bin at Joannes and I picked up a 1/2 yard of each. When I bought it I had no clue what I was making but I knew I liked them together. A few days later I went to Belk and found a bunch of t-shirts on sale. Wahoo, I love a good sale. When I got home I realized they were a perfect match. Now, if you are anything like me and you have something that randomly works like this your mind starts racing and you wonder what you can create. My first thought was an applique on the t-shirt. Maybe a cute hootie owl or a dancing bird would be fun. After looking at the materials all together, neither one of those seem to work.

Love the avocado for the contrast and the tie in to the fabric! Cute dress!
