DIY Stacking Gift Boxes for baby

Need a clever way to package a gift? Make Stacking Gift Boxes for Gift Packaging.  Try using hand  painted and decorated stacking boxes.  The possibilities on decorating them are endless and they can be used again as decor. Oh, Baby!

After making a card using www.duetica.com, I realized that I really  liked the Saxi font so much I wanted to use it on this packaging for a baby gift.  I used Saxi A00 and E40 for a great look.  The packaging can double as storage or decorations in the room.  I painted wood canisters in buttermilk and I used shades purple and brown in the accents to accompany.  When it came time to print the font, I did so on clear sticker paper in dark brown.  (You can get sticker paper in the office supply section of the store or in a craft store.)  I did this so the canister could be usable and could easily be wiped off.  She does not know the gender of the baby and has not decided on a baby name so I told her once she did I would print her out a single monogram for the top and monogramed initials for the middle set.  The flower accents are from Prima and the paper is Core’dinations.  The foiled stems are Design Adhesives and Designer Foil from Clearsnap.

Supplies for Stacking Gift Boxes:

• Decoart paint -buttermilk
• printable sticker paper
• Core’dinations paper
• Prima Flowers
• Clearsnap – Design Adhesives and Designer Foil
• fancy label shaped die cut
• sandpaper optional
• Adhesive of choice.

Instructions for making stacking Gift Boxes:

1. You might need to sand the boxes.  Paint the exterior of each box and the coordinating lid and you can sand between layers of paint if needed.
2. Tear a paper sheet to wrap around bottom container. Print label and die cut and adhere all items to container as shown.
3. Die cut the other two labels and adhere.
4. Add foil accents and paper embellishments.
5. Fill with baby gifts and give to the future momma.
