Feeling inspired to try something new, I jumped into the studio and decided to try some stamping onto canvas. I am not sure if you have made the mental note or not but canvas is HOT HOT HOT right now. Well I had purchased a small piece when I was at Walmart a while back. It was 60″ wide so I just got a .110 length…for FIFTY FOUR CENTS….I could make about forty of these cards using just that little piece of canvas I bought!! But anyway, I first die cut the canvas using a Sizzix die…but I then found that my Spellbinders Dies WILL CUT THIS THICK CANVAS…(Look for a tutorial soon!)
I then stamped onto my die cut canvas using Clearsnap Colorbox Pigment Ink and The Stamps of Life – Hello2You set. Now notice, the “you” on my card doesn’t have the “?”…well I simply snipped it off from the image from the set that read “you?”…Just take very sharp scissors and two snips and you can now make sentiments like “Hey you” & “hello you” and anytime you need the “?” you can use it by itself or put it right back up against the “you” it came attached to. Bingo! Custom Stamps! LOL I also used the “Thanks2You” set for the spray of wiry flowers that are behind my main image.
Enjoy!
