Around here we like dressing and dips, especially ranch bacon and chive. Salads become special meals when a great dressing is used. We also like to use the powdered dressing mix dry as a rub on chicken and pork. Nothing says homemade like well seasoned food.
Another reason I make my own is it is always fresh and there is no MSG in it. It can trigger my migraines and I will do most anything to avoid them.
This is a popular dish and when friends come over they ask for the recipe. I make it in bulk and started making decorative jars to give it in. I recycle glass jars and paint the lids and add embellishments. When they are al decorated up they make great gifts.
