This is a little view of my rustic Christmas table setting. I need a little guidance. Should I do placemats? And bread plate or no bread plate? My children think no on both and they think I am a little crazy for setting the table 3 weeks before the holidays. It is a good thing we don’t use our dinning room for meals most of the time. LOL Not to mention that I make them help set the table. We don’t use the good china and silverware often but I think it is important for them to know how to set a proper table, or well close to proper.
I made the table runner and chair covers as well as the deer plaques that I used for candle holders, napkin rings and as embellishments for the chair covers. When I am decorating for a party I like to use the same motif in multiple ways. It makes everything feel unified and a little more personalized. To make the rustic Christmas chair covers you can visit this post.
To keep the rustic feel going I added real deer antlers that were shed in a field. I also placed them on different furniture pieces in the room too.

My favorite entry into the link party is from Penny’s Vintage Home. It is not a tree but it is a mantle that is amazing. It reminds me of something you would see in a department store window. The twinkling fairy lights under the pink gauzy material make my heart pitter patter.
