Instructions for rustic french farmhouse decor

Sand any rough edges on the caddy and remove debris with a damp cloth or a tack cloth.
Apply a base coat of chalk paint and sand any thick patches.
Paint one side of the inside handle in a contrasting color.
Sand any rough spots and apply an extra coat of paint. Paint the edges in the same contrasting color.
On the opposite side of the handle use the stencil of your choice to create a pattern. Add any words that you like too.
Add a tinted wax finish to the entire box. It will give it a rustic look. You can also use a clear wax if you are not wanting the look to be as rustic.
