Seaside Serendipity – seaside inspiration by Keri Lee. I love challenging myself to see how I can incorporate my love for stamping into other areas of my crafting. Recently I have fallen in love with creating jewelry…I mean head over heels in love with stepping outside the box and creating fun and unique jewelry pieces!!! Well, tonight I was working with Italian Mesh Ribbon from Specialty Beads, and natural shell pendants…then I got the idea to “jazz it up” a bit by stamping onto the pendant! Don’t you just love it? I used my new set from Layers of Color – Touch of Elegance. This set is so very versatile, I can tell it will be in my “often reached for” arsenal from here on. I chose some coordinating Swarovski Crystals and Pearls to add a bit of sparkle and shine, and finally chain and findings by Beadalon! Can’t go wrong with that line-up, can ya?
Okay so let’s talk techniques for stamping.
First of all, you need Stazon ink from Tsukineko for this project. I also highly recommend having a paper towel moistened with alcohol nearby.
Clean the surface of your pendant with the alcohol.
Next ink your image using Jet Black Stazon and stamp it onto the pendant.
Remove CAREFULLY and set aside to dry. If your image doesn’t come out how you had hoped simply wipe it clean before it has a chance to dry and start over.
It’s as simple as that! Enjoy my newest jewelry set titled “Seaside Serendipity”!
