Homemade Chic Garden Crafts
“Life Begins the day you plant a garden…,” ” A weed is no more than a flower in disguise.” These and other pretty garden sentiments are what inspired me to create these garden signs.
I used wood strips and a wood plaque and laid them out as shown in the photo. I choose the honeysuckle color and antique green, just as the Pantone Color Group institute was announcing that Honeysuckle is the official color of Spring 2011.
If your screen needs to be calibrated, like mine does, I did some research and learned that Honey suckle actually has a little more coral tones than what may appear in this post.
Pantone writes–
“Honeysuckle emboldens us to face everyday troubles with verve and vigor. A dynamic reddish pink, Honeysuckle is encouraging and uplifting. It elevates our psyche beyond escape, instilling the confidence, courage and spirit to meet the exhaustive challenges that have become part of everyday life.”
After securing the painted wood pieces with furniture tacks. I used various stamps to embellish the center…
I used a classic country looking wire and a couple of prima flowers to embellish.
Stay tuned for more garden inspired posts this week! Just as we welcome Spring 2011.
